RealWorld Expertise runs under the Microsoft Windows operating system. As new versions
of the Windows OS are released, RealWorld Expertise has to be updated in order to
successfully run under the latest Windows release.
Besides keeping up-to-date on the Windows platform, RealWorld is constantly improving
the performance and functionality of RealWorld Expertise products. In addition, whenever
problems in the software are discovered, RealWorld aggressively acts to solve them. To
keep users on the most current versions, RealWorld offers a Software Subscription Plan. Upgrades
to major new versions are not included in the Expertise Software Subscription Plan.
This plan may not be applicable to customers with modified software. This is only a
software subscription plan and does not include installation or support. Please contact
your reseller about your particular needs.
Every user enrolled in the Software Subscription Plan will receive the following
benefits from the plan on an annual basis:
- All updates and enhancements as released by RealWorld throughout the year. Software will
be distributed to you automatically by RealWorld Corporation. The releases will be
delivered to you as RealWorld’s Quality Assurance group releases them.
- Each release will contain documentation on disk or CD
- To help you stay current with the latest news and releases from RealWorld Corporation
you will receive a subscription to the RealNews newsletter.
- Year-end updates. The last release of the year is the most critical one. It includes
changes for the current year W-2 form, 941 and other important tax documents as well as
changes to the Payroll Tax Rates for the subsequent year. All changes for year-end
processing are included in this important release.
Expertise Subscription Prices:
- A first year Software Subscription Plan is required for all new customers. All
orders must include payment for an annual service plan, which costs 15% of the suggested
retail price of each module purchased (including the System Manager). The Plan includes
the Payroll Year-end Update.
- After the first year RealWorld recommends, but does not require, that the customer
maintain the service contract. If they choose to renew after the 30-day grace
period, the plan is at a 25% renewal rate.
- If a user does not renew their subscription plan, they will no longer receive any module
updates, including the Payroll Year End update.
