Fund Accounting
Fund Accounting is designed to support funded activities, such as research grants. It
can also be used by corporations that manage and consolidate the finances of multiple
subsidiaries or share financial responsibilities.
- Fund Accounting provides support for budget verification while processing invoices or
general ledger transactions on a monthly or year-to-date basis.
- Account-based fund restrictions and warnings can be set up for each user.
- Fund Accounting provides single-fund processing for up to 200 funds or entities, the
ability to consolidate funds or entities, and the ability to track minority interest
percentages per entity or fund. The costs for any general, administrative or other burdens
can be allocated between a maximum of 200 entities by percentages per account or fund.
- Fund Accounting allows each transaction to maintain optional text and/or class field for
detailed reporting.
- Single-fund accounting principles are adhered to, with full verification of user access
rights, and external entity account validation for complete data security.
- Fund Accounting requires prior installation of the General Ledger module. Fund
Accounting integrates with Accounts Payable and Purchase Order.
- Period or year-to-date amounts can be controlled for verification.
- GSA reporting is supported.
- Sensitive information can be protected.
- Details that are not required at each user's terminal can be removed.
- 10 user-defined fields per account record can be set up.
- Automatic due-to and due-from posting is available per General Ledger entries.
- Batch posting can be processed in detail or summary.
- Detailed or summary inception-to-date account activity can be viewed.
- Information can be balanced for unlimited periods.
- Unlimited budgets can be created in Microsoft Excel.
